Nido Dinnerware at eTabletop.com

I came across this attactive set of dinnerware from the Thomas Rosenthal Group at eTabletop.com. The set offers a very large service, allowing you to either customize your own set or fufill your Victorian desire to have a unique plate for every possible side dish. There are also a number of oven proof dishes offered in the set-- great for quiches, fritattas or tarts. I could probably do without the plate-like lids, but I  might envsion using them as small platters. I particularly like the carafe and pitcher designs, which I would couple with a Stelton coffee carafe on my table at brunch.   The "gourmet plate" pictured above is also very elegant, and it might even make a plate of Chef Boyardee look good. (Perhaps with the right garnish?)  According the the eTabletop site, this set is the choice of top resort propeties...  While clearly they are not serving ready-made pasta at those establishments--  if you do at yours, the plates can at least allow you pretend for a moment that you are dining at at five star resort (that is until you get that call from a  telemarketer)!

Price for a 5 piece placesetting at eTabletop.com: $64.80
