I'll have to try this. The last time I had gazpacho was in the New York apartment of a Spanish friend named Ana. She and her husband were both painters, but somehow they managed to buy a loft in that New York Police Building just around the corner from Little Italy (maybe the area would now be called Welita). It's a beautiful Beaux Art style building, very grand scale. Anyhoo, it was a very hot and humid afternoon in mid-summer and we had all the windows open because there was no air conditioning, just fans, and Ana threw a bunch of stuff in the blender and voila..gazpacho. It was so cool and refreshing. It was just something she whipped up!


Oh...and I love Almodovar. I haven't seen Women on the Verge in years but I did love The Story of My Mother and the recent one Bad Education was surprisingly good. Netflix!


Yes, gazpacho is really just salad in a blender! I think that the true Spanish version incorporates bread and a LOT more garlic, but I tend to be rather conservative with garlic for obvious reasons. ;-)


It's looking like a super tasty juice, I will be trying today, and I will post some updates on how it went later on
